Goodnight Evelyn

about

Here is something a little special for all of you out there. This is a demo of the song 'Goodnight Evelyn' which was written sometime ago, possibly before 'Bullet' was released and has been demo-ed a few times, even as a full band all the way back with Aldus 'The Latvian Wizard' during the Saskatchewan EP recording sesh!

Though this is not the final release of this song, it is a documentation of it at a point in time. This one will most likely see a proper release in the not so distant future but until then we can all enjoy this version... or not (UPDATED Feb 2023).

lyrics

GOODNIGHT EVELYN

She drank with demons to silence the ghosts
Haunted by a life of torment and addiction
She danced with devils for the simple sake of company

Goodnight Evelyn,
Hope you finally found the peace you were looking for
Goodnight Evelyn,
You don't have to be sorry anymore

Where did it begin, when did you decide to become
A broken will, a broken heart, a broken home?

Goodnight Evelyn,
Hope you finally found the peace you were looking for
Goodnight Evelyn,
You don't have to be sorry anymore

What desperation ever drove you from your home?
Low income housing, always seemed so far from Scotland shores

Goodnight Evelyn,
Hope you finally found the peace you were looking for
Goodnight Evelyn,
You don't have to be sorry anymore
