Before The Storm
02:57

Please don’t ask so many questions
That’s more remembering than i’d care to do tonight
These cold hard truths have razed me to my foundation
Left me handcuffed to my past
I hate myself forever
For all the wrong I’ve done
But i keep my shit together
Because I’m not the only one
Made of glass
My demons dance to my own dark song
They sway to bastard rhythms
Curse and tragedy, Filth and hurt to melody
They sway to bastard rhythms

Hold On
04:39
|
|||
When the only way is down, sometimes it’s hard to figure out
Where one battle ends and the other begins
And the whirlwind that I know, it never tires and it never slows
We go round and round and round and down, down, down
So hold on tonight, ‘cause if you let go I’d die
I don’t think i have the strength to do this on my own
So hold on tonight and smile for me one last time
I don’t think I have the strength to do this on my own
When the days that are lost to pain become the substance of our refrain
It’s hard to want to, want to carry on
I just want you to know that you’re not alone
You’ve got to fight to find the peace between the disappointment and the despair.

Way Down Lonesome
03:22
|
|||
The lonesome of the darkness,
the rhythm of the breathing
The stillness of the moment
The knowing just the knowing
All these things shall come to pass
All these days shall come to pass
In the echoes and the ashes
Lay the questions of the actions
Does the martyr truely die for
the glory or the cause
All these things shall come to pass
All these days shall come to pass
In the way down lonesome
Silence after the storm
The grey light after the raging night
Reveals the wreckage along the shore
All these days will come to pass
All these things will come to pass
Way down lonesome a place no one can avoid
We dance around the darkness to bring meaning to the void
All these days shall come to pass
All these things will come to pass

Belfast '99

If only you could feel those tired streets
Where only gunshots graze the bruised silence
There are some hard times on the streets
Here’s your barricade now what side are you on
There’s a war on the streets but its not just soldiers dying
Its you and me , its us and them and the heartache in between
No it aint right to die for a cause that you never believed in
No it aint right and yes boys we’ll fight, just not today
I’ve seen the murals on the walls ,
I’ve walked Shankill and I’ve walked Falls
I’ve stood in the shadow of a sniper tower
I’ve been a pawn in a quest for power

The Soft Light
02:55
|
|||
She took my hand and we danced
Like wild animals, the purest flowing of our souls
The taste of whisky on her lips and in her eyes an innocence
A purity and everything foreign to me
I gazed across the room and saw that you were dancing too,
I threw back my head and laughed until it hurt
It feels good to love,it feels good to laugh
It feels good to truly know that we’re alive
Holding hands in the dark she whispered
‘Have you ever been in love, have you ever felt that pain?’
Felt like I’d known her for thousand years
She told me that she was so glad that we met
The soft light of her face in the late summer moon
Comes to mind everytime i hear a certain sort of song
And i know one day we’ll meet again where dreams and memories fade into a dim candescence of forgotten pain.
